It’s #DogsOfMastodon time! We’re in a winter wonderland right now and the dogs love it. This is Casey (Golden Retriever) and Rory (Irish Wolfhound puppy) enjoying the snow.

The crack of dawn came and went without us. We were so cozy warm in bed that nobody was in a hurry to go outside in the cold.
Summer flips over in the middle of the bed for the scritches to start her day. As soon as she thinks she's has enough she jumps down to fetch her pal's slippers. We only need another minute to get him untangled from hoses and then dressed.
All three of us braved the cold to check the rain gauge and to let Summer run her perimeter check.
I got so much done yesterday that we can relax a bit today. I did promise to bake banana bread and muffins to replenish the stash in the freezer.
Writing to friends and addressing Christmas cards needs to get done, too.
Summer and her pal decided that the cold was too cold outside so they opted for indoor antics.

Yay for my city that plows the sidewalks before the streets. I can't find the reference now but there was a good study about the health and safety benefits of prioritizing sidewalks. It's a feminist and anti-ableism issue.

Summer finally got the play time she was waiting for. She is unbearably adorable and I can't resist.
Today, I am trying to move everything from an email I have used forever to a new email created just today. I didn't ever consider that my old email might go away.
Holy cow.
Between getting a new phone and email I am worn out.

Evening run last night.
A glorious moon made the head torch redundant, wet road run (underfoot) but the dug would fret iff he didn’t get out one last time. 8,5k, road, wet shoes and paws when back but very satisfying. Chilly but with no wind perfectly pleasant. Dog photographed by moonlight, no artificial light involved.
