Looking down down down…

#art #architecture #newcastle

Looking down the middle of a metal staircase which appears to go on indefinitely, due to mirrors placed at the top and bottom. It is part of the art installation ‘Heaven and Hell’ 2012 by Mark Wallinger at BALTIC.
The stairs have a cold hue with high contrast, a lone figure in a yellow jacket walks the landing opposite.
