With rumors swirling about European countries negotiating directly with Iran... Trump has been begging for EU and Asian countries to come bail out the US military.

Like... it seems the options for world leaders is do you:

1. Work with the US... and likely have missiles and drone boars buzzing all over while your ships run the blockade

2. Talk to Iran like adults and promise not to help Israel assassinate anymore of their leaders right now. No need to run blockade.

So I imagine Trump's not going to like what German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius had to say about the request to send more ships:

"We did not start this war.

What does the world expect, what does Donald Trump expect from a handful or two handfuls of European frigates to achieve there in the Strait of Hormuz, which the powerful American Navy cannot manage alone?

It is not our war; we did not start it."

Really glad the US just decommissioned the four mine sweepers we’d had covering the Strait of Hormuz, and glad we live in such a peaceful world that we no longer need them there as they had been for the last 35 years. Phew.
