Grace Jones hit the big time in the early 1980s, but this earlier semi-Latin torch song remains a treat. The latin shuffle underpins Jones signature singing style (partly in French) with some great jazz-inflected instrumentation. The extended LP version is an atmospheric tour-de-force & features some wonderful piano playing. Altogether a smokey back room classic.
