@cstross @GossiTheDog The thing I like most about the Metaverse is that it flopped hard before it made it impossible to buy some entire class of hardware, like GPUs (Bitcoin) or RAM (“AI”). There’s a lot to be said for hype bubbles that pop early rather than late.
