While out on my inaugural Bird Count (for this years Great Aussie Bird Count), I found TEN (10) fresh Pacific Black Duck ducklings and an attentive mother-duck.
So of course, I had to take photos.

Duck and ducklings swimming to the right. The water surface is reflecting the shore foliage in shades of green, and their little yellow faces stand out.

Looking down at the duck and ducklings as they duckling pass through a patch of sun.

A mother Pacific Black Duck swims to the right, and her brood of nine ducklings cling close to her tail. They are all reflected in the water surface.

A mother pacific black duck swims in the sun trailed by a tight group of quite young ducklings. The ducklings are mostly brown but with yellow faces. The mother duck is also mostly brown and in this shot you can see her green shiny wing panel.
