Trying out the fediverse for the first time today. I've been reading a lot about it, now it's time to figure out how it works and build an internet home here.
My goal is to figure out how I can bring www.gobikecamping.com into the fediverse and help people who love bike touring own their data and escape the metaverse.

“Own their data” sounds interestingly nerdy - all the way down to the hardware on their bikes, or on a server they own ?cooperatively?, or what?
