I went scouting for wildlife along the east coast of Vancouver Island today for my upcoming photo tours during the herring spawn.

Steller sea lions are starting to show up, I observed them catching fish near the shore.

Bald eagles are back too, calling each other from tree tops. Soon they'll start to build a nest. Took this photo this morning.
