Jesus Fucking Christ. At this point the system is not only failing to support me, failing to help me, but ACTIVELY working AGAINST me putting my life back together.
OHIP has stopped paying the ONLY doctor that has been following me through all this disruption because they are remote mtgs and have clocked out 2yr in person criteria.
And ODSP just told me they've put my file on hold (ie no money) for no rational reason, and rent is due in 3days. 😧
@vlrny I'm just going to go ahead and blame Doug Ford for this, because it's obviously his fault.
I hope you can get the help you need.

So instead of doing anything to solve existing problems - like figuring out how to keep myself fed, to sort out health plan (OHIP doesn't cover half of what I need and that's destroying my finances), to build relationships w new doctors, to get help with the covid brain injury, to figure out how to do things without being able to drive, to just get home and systems set up so I'm not floundering All The Fucking Time..
I am putting out fires that never should have lit up.
This shit is so exhausting and demoralizing. This propensity to gate keep and withhold is counterproductive, and frankly, abusive.
It costs more money to keep people in constant crisis that to Just Fucking Help them.
I'm sure I've cost several months of ODSP just in ER visits alone.
Disabled people aren't failed humans to be tossed aside.
We are PEOPLE. We matter. We have lives and places in our community.
Stop making so fucking hard to exist.

So after spending the morning trying to find help and fix stupid ODSP snafu, unsuccessfully, some kind soul on here saw my rant and sent me a bit o $. Which made me cry, and reminded me to ask for help from all you beautiful humans.
So I am looking for help to make sure I have what I need to pay my fekkin rent this weekend. As usual every lil bit helps, and boosts help if you haven't got $. 💖
