It is rather interesting to ponder that it is an accepted truism that "good news doesn't sell"... and yet I am finding that things like #3GoodThings, #Bloomscrolling and #Caturday are FAR from boring.
I suppose it is that mainstream media are catering to the prurient desire for gossip.
@kerravonsen gossip for profit, yes. that's our news media.
and their gossip for money at industrial scale is social degradation for profit.
(just to describe things as they are.)
I suppose our alternative is community for enjoyment.
and at large scale (I doubt it can be industrialised) that is social progress for enjoyment.
