Finished the first draft of the 3rd movement (out of 4 planned) of my #symphony today. That’s a really good feeling. I still have an enormous amount to do—each of the first three movements needs some revision, Mvts. 2 and 3 especially! But it’s a good progress marker. Onward! #music #orchestra

I'm adapting my Surge XT violin for sections. A single controller value gives the violin a unique sound. This example uses a section of 18 violins (3 x 8).

This exmaple (Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2) starts with the piano intro, and then the violins come in with a small amount of expression in the first repeat, and none in the second.

I hope to work further on this, to make it more production-friendly, work with DAWs, divisi/spread automation, etc.
