Album cover of Tsuki by Kin Gajo, with artwork by Moon and design by Benoit Vangeel, depicts a haunting black-and-white illustration of an astronaut’s helmet floating in space, its visor reflecting a surreal, organic mass resembling coral or neural tissue. The stark linework and cosmic setting evoke isolation, introspection, and the fusion of human emotion with mechanical void mirroring the trio’s electro-acoustic jazz that blends accordion warmth with synthetic textures. The title “Tsuki” (moon) aligns with the celestial theme, suggesting cycles of awakening and farewell as heard in tracks like “Tsuki, The Awakening” and “Farewell Taiyo.” The image functions as a metaphor for inner exploration the mind adrift in sound, memory, and rhythm.

De La Soul, Clear Lake Auditorium, 1994 on Tommy Boy
I love De La Soul, especially the first three albums – 3 Feet High and Rising, De La Soul is Dead, and Buhloone Mindstate. This EP was a promotional only release in 1994, which was widely bootlegged over the years, and includes 4 tracks from Buloone Mindstate plus two non-album tracks, one of which features A Tribe Called Quest.
My copy is the 2025 limited edition reissue & repress on translucent green vinyl, which was issued in a “gel” sleeve that actually contains liquid. I immediately re-sleeved, but of course kept the gel sleeve too.

I'm too uneasy, I'm out of face
And I'm orange tang and I'm powdered eggs
And my radio has been down for days

If you like #HipHop #punchlines and an awesome live band with a great #drummer then listen to #FlorDeRap
for me the best female hip hop artist I've heard in my 45 years!
Here's an example on (sadly) YouTube: worth watching, like a ska band but wow. Her voice so powerful, a mix of Chilean, USA and Black artist vibes but WOW!
im a bit in love , maybe hard in love ( and im normaly a metal head ) #ADHS brain hits

Album cover of We Live In A Society by Big Baby Gandhi features a chaotic, satirical cartoon collage that visually manifests the album’s critique of modern socio-political absurdity. Central figure Big Baby Gandhi, depicted with a raised red fist, symbolizes resistance amid a backdrop of cultural caricatures: Pepe the Frog, political figures, ICE agents, and puppet-master elites controlling youth culture. The brick wall and graffiti-style text reinforce urban dissent, while characters like “Coving” and “Make Ameri-Chin Again” mock internet memes and political polarization. The artwork, likely by Kool AD (given the label’s namesake), mirrors the album’s blend of sharp commentary and braggadocio, framing society as a circus of manipulation, identity politics, and capitalist farce — all under the ironic slogan “Keep Smiling.”

Dr. Dre Announces 2026 Tour Dates: Hip-Hop Legend Returns to the Stage
Hip-hop icon Dr. Dre is officially returning to the stage in 2026, announcing a highly anticipated tour that will celebrate his legendary impact on music, culture, and West Coast hip-hop. Fans across the country are excited about the possibility of seeing one of the most influential producers and artists in music history perform live again.
Dr. Dre, the founder of Aftermath Entertainment and a key architect behind the careers of artists like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and 50 Cent, has been largely absent from touring for decades. His 2026 tour announcement marks a rare opportunity for fans to experience the legendary producer in a live concert setting.
The tour is expected to feature performances of classic hits and collaborations from Dre’s iconic catalog, including tracks from albums like The Chronic and 2001. Industry insiders also speculate that special guest appearances could include artists who helped define the sound of modern hip-hop.
While official tour stops are still being finalized, fans in major cities across the United States are watching closely for announcements about ticket sales and venue details. If Raleigh or nearby cities in the Triangle are added to the tour schedule, local hip-hop fans will likely turn out in large numbers for what could be one of the biggest hip-hop events of the year.
Dr. Dre’s influence extends far beyond music. From producing groundbreaking albums to launching Beats by Dre and shaping the careers of some of hip-hop’s biggest stars, Dre remains one of the most important figures in the culture.
Stay tuned to DoRaleigh.com for updates on tour dates, ticket releases, and any possible shows coming to Raleigh, Durham, or the Triangle area.
