https://www.cafka.org/event/monster-pageant-parade

Wonderful art project to be shared with the community this coming Sunday (October 26) in DTK. Starting from Central Station at King and Vic, the march will end up at the Gaukel Street pedestrian zone by the old bus station, for a presentation about...monsters.

Show up! Be colourful! Be ready for fun and joy! Celebrate the people, not the monsters...y'know, for a change. (I see you monster shippers out there).

Hoping to go myself, if my body will take it. The cold/damp combo is doing me no favours. But I'm excited about the possibility.

GUELPH, KW, NEARBY: a fedi-friend is looking for some in-person support around negotiating a move in the coming month. Needs muscle but also personal mgmt assistance.

If you are, or know of, a PSW, personal assistant, home organizer type who has sufficient time, spoons to share - please reach out.

An extension cord drawn on the multiuse trail to look like it's wrapped around the yellow dividing line. The view is from the plug in the foreground to the tail receding in the distance.

And our last question of the week:

Q8. Show us a photo from something cycle-related from the past week! It doesn't have to be anything special at all.

If you'd like to, share one and tell us about it!

We're thrilled to work with the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery on this free Galleries and Gears cycling tour on Saturday October 25!

"This guided cycling tour visits four exceptional galleries in one memorable day with support from CycleWR. Our leisurely-paced rides between galleries allow plenty of time to appreciate each collection while showcasing why Waterloo region leads in both arts and cycling infrastructure. Expert marshals from Cycle WR will take you on a memorable cycling gallery tour discussing the exhibition themes of displacement, housing, cultural heritage, and environmental sustainability.”

A view of the glass front face of a building, with the words “Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery” written across the windows. In front, a man and a woman each have a bike that they hold, with the front wheel of each listed up in the air. They both look at the viewer, smiling.

It would help to share the pics.

Popped into Cafe Clementina for breakfast after the broadcast, and I made a sweet new friend: her name is Leah.

Leah. She's a dog. White and blond with a pink and brown nose and hazelnut eyes. Her human is keeping her in place for the photo because Leah really wants to be petted.

Interior of Cafe Clementina. Part of my order is in paper sacks o the wooden counter. the display cases are filled with Allyson's lovely baking: brownies, cinnamon buns, cookies, muffins. The makings for my matchat are in the background.
