I had this #magnetic #tape #reel still shrinkwrapped. Imagine that, a tape from 1964 still unplayed like new. Finally opened it. Not sure how long I've owned it. Playing it back on the Akai GX280DSS (a 2 channel / 4 channel surround reel to reel unit from the 1970s). Sounds very nice. No loss, damage or stretching. No sticking either. #Bach played by a #French #jazz band. A 62 year old tape on a 50 year old tape recorder, both looking and sounding like new. #music #akai #ampex

Next, we are back in #france. How about another innovator of the 1970s, Patrick Vian (the son of the well known writer, musician and polymath Boris Vian) with his only solo album "bruits et temps analogues" following some #progrock collaborations.

Features a Moog #modular #synth and an Arp 2600 modular synth amongst many things. Same label who had signed Vangelis at the time.
