It’s not the first time this has happened, I’ve similarly bestowed knowledge of our tawny friends on others I’ve met while bird watching. I was starting to wonder if I was imagining one of the nearby Tawny Frogmouths could be nesting given it’s quite late in the baby season (the other tawny families around here fledged a month ago) and I wasn’t seeing much change at the nest. Going out in the super hot weather to check was rewarded. I was delighted to meet new local muppets!
