After the incident, several #Trump admin officials described #ReneeGood as a “domestic terrorist,” falsely accusing her of trying to ram #JonathanRoss with her vehicle. But a video analysis by NYT showed no indication that he had been run over.
Senior #DOJ officials have repeatedly said there are no plans to follow the path normally taken in such situations & pursue an investigation into whether Ross, who fired multiple shots at Good, had used #ExcessiveForce.
Federal investigators have also refused to cooperate with state & local prosecutors in #Minnesota, complicating any efforts they might take to open their own investigations into Ross.
Instead of allowing Mergen to work with the #USattorney in #Minneapolis to investigate Ross, #DOJ has decided to investigate #ReneeGood & her partner, #BeccaGood, scrutinizing their possible ties to left-wing #protest groups. That decision prompted at least 6 senior prosecutors in the office to resign in protest.
